Course Brief: This course aims to increase participants’ awareness about conflict and develop mediation and negotiation skills and techniques. It covers conceptual aspects of conflict, focusing on the cost of conflict, behavior that escalates and de-escalates conflicts, mediation skills and principles of workplace mediation, appropriateness of mediation in different conflict situations, role of a mediator in conflict management, effective conflict resolution skills, management skills for mediation such as communication, listening, feedback and facilitation skills.
