Course Brief: People businesses are the fastest-growing sector in developed economies, and are quickly becoming the same in Asia. The unparalleled success of India’s fabled Technology Services firms, of China’s newly public banks, and – let’s face it, Asia loves to learn, travel, eat, and shop – consumer businesses throughout Asia are but the first examples of an undeniable trend: Asia is getting wealthy and people businesses are leading the way.
But people businesses have different managerial economics, respond to different managerial strategies, and need to be managed, therefore, by different techniques than traditional businesses. This course guides participants in discovering and applying those techniques. Emphasis is placed on the building blocks of effective people businesses and five areas of people businesses that are markedly different than traditional businesses: performance metrics, human resources strategies, management, team-building, and leadership, growth strategy, and new service and product innovation.
