Participants: Environmental development/protection planners and managers from public and private agencies, environmental engineers/scientists, environmental auditing and inspection officers.

Course Brief:
This course aims to improve participants’ knowledge about environment governance, monitoring and enforcement, organizational performance, rules and regulations, stakeholder participation and transparency/accountability of environmental regulatory agency. Course content covers environmental issues and governance, regulatory measures and law enforcement, including remedial measures for environment management, comparative review of environmental laws and legitimacy, and economic and financial instruments.

Participants have opportunities to visit, observe and make critical analysis of local environmental governance and monitoring projects, transparency and good public services, decentralized management of environmental management infrastructure and community based environmental management programs/projects.
