Course Brief:The course aims to provide with the best practices for water management issues stressing on command area development with a focus on farmer-led irrigation system management.

Course content covers modernization of irrigation system management, irrigation benchmarking, water delivery system – operation perspectives, water productivity assessment and improvement, institutional framework for improved irrigation management, participatory and user centered management irrigation economics, financial analysis of irrigation projects using IT application, best practices of monitoring and evaluation of irrigation projects and study visits to irrigation projects in Thailand for system management, physical and institutional aspects.
