Training Methodology

AIT's methodology is designed around an extensive program of study visits in Thailand and in Vietnam to organizations and institutes, both public and private, involved in financing or supporting the agri-business and agro-processing industry. Organizations to be visited include government and commercial banks specializing in financing agribusiness and agro –processing, industry associations, agri-business units, a resource centre involved in promoting and supporting agribusiness and related government department.

AIT Extension based at the Thailand campus collaborates with the AIT Center Vietnam in organizing the Vietnam component of the program.

Experienced resource-persons will lead participants through discussion-and-integration sessions, before and after the visits.  This way AIT aims to ensure that participants return to their workplace with practical insights into best practices or challenges and constraints that the financing sector faces, and can build on lessons learned to find solutions that can immediately be applied to work within the local context.

Study Visit Schedule

The study visit schedule will be conducted on weekdays between 0900 and 1600 hours.  An additional 1 - 2 hours per day have been allocated for travel time.  Two 30-minute coffee breaks are planned for 1000, and 1500 hours, with lunch break from 1200-1315 hours.
