Rural Entrepreneurship Development

This fee is for a customized course for ten or fewer participants. For additional participants, the fee is USD 2500 ​per participant.

​For these fees, the client may customize the course to the precise needs ​of the client's organization. Scheduling will be in consultation with the client.

Participants: Policy makers, community development officers/planners, community mobilizers and NGO officials, agriculture extension officers, SME planners and SME consultants.

Course brief: The course aims to enhance knowledge and skills of participants on policy and planning for development of rural entrepreneurship projects in rural communities. This course emphasizes on strategies that government agencies should implement to upgrade capacity of community people to operate SME projects and rural business development programs.

The course contents cover strategic planning for rural entrepreneurship development, rural business development, community empowerment, gender issues, community-based organization, micro-finance and SMEs management, and capacity building and knowledge transfer. The participants will have opportunity to visit community organizations, SMEs projects, rural entrepreneurs of one-village-one-product rural areas and local agro-processing cooperatives.
