AIT Extension is hosting a special two weeks international course on “Banking and Finance” at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand. The course is designed specifically for the officials of the Bangladesh Bank (Central Bank of Bangladesh).
Two batches of officials from Bangladesh Bank will attend this program. The first batch comprises twenty mid-level officials and they are currently attending the program at AIT campus. The second batch of participants is expected to arrive in mid November, 2010.
The course highlights two broad areas: asset-liability management for banking and financial system & risk management in banking. This course aims to address the needs of financial managers to have a clear understanding on the concepts, best practices and tools & techniques in resolving pertinent issues in banking. Likewise, the second broad topic will provide an understanding of the best practices in the financial system and risk management in banking with practical case studies.
