Training on “Sustaining Competitive Edge at the Crossroad of Emerging Technologies: Management Perspective” kicks off in AIT (Batch II - 9 July to 7 Aug, 2011)

A comprehensive one month tailored course for the Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Cadre Officials is underway in Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. This training program follows the successful completion of training by the first batch of Thirty BCS cadre officials on March, 2011. The program is made possible through the collaboration between AIT Extension and the Ministry of Public Administration, People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Thirty mid-level BCS cadre officials are currently attending the course. The participants are comprised from various ministries, public sector organizations, national institutes and local government divisions of Bangladesh. The goal of this customized program is to strengthen participants’ knowledge, perspectives and awareness on 21st century’s emerging issues related to public policy changes, environmental management & sustainable development, and rapidly evolving information technology. Apart from the routine classroom sessions, the program also involves study visits to various public organizations, institutes, private entities and projects under royal patronage in Thailand.
