Professional Development Course on Accounting: Significant Aspects in Power Utilities Companies, 12 - 17 March 2018

This  six days  professional  development  program  on  Accounting: Significant Aspects in Power Utilities Companies”  is prepared  in  response to a  recent  request  from  “Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka”. The course aims to increase the knowledge and understanding on different aspects and impacts on accounting for public utility managers. The program comprises classroom lectures, discussions, interaction with professionals and sharing of experiences.

CEYLON ELECTRICITY BOARD, SRILANKA

The Ceylon Electricity Board is the largest electricity company in Sri Lanka, a corporate body established under Act of Parliament no. 17 of 1969. With a market share of nearly 100%, it controls all major functions of electricity generation, transmission, distribution and retailing in Sri Lanka. It is empowered to generate electrical energy, transmit the same and distribute it to reach all categories of consumers and to collect the revenue. It is also empowered to acquire assets, including human resources following the approved procedures. It is the duty of the CEB to make the optimal use of the resources thorough the application of pragmatic and time-tested managerial methods. 

PARTICIPANTS: There will be 10 participants attending the program.
