Course Brief: This course aims to enhance the managerial and technical skills of participants responsible for planning, managing and supervising small and medium scale construction projects for more efficient, effective and high standard construction works.
Course content covers construction planning, construction quality control and construction administration. This course presents case studies on construction planning and scheduling of selected infrastructure projects undertaken by public and private agencies. Participants carry out project works on the CPM schedule of small construction project using manual analysis and comparison to that produced by computer package. It also includes field visits to construction sites of infrastructure development projects such as irrigation and water resource structures, roads and highways, and tall buildings so that participants can observe and discuss with project engineers on issues such as construction techniques and construction project management.
