Course Brief: The course is designed to enable participants to design and develop an information system on a client/server platform under Microsoft Windows and SQL Server/MSDE that supports multi-user access to a database through Intranet/Internet. The participants learn how to design and develop a client/server database using MS SQL server and MS Access. They also learn to use various software tools, such as HTML and ASP, to access databases through the internet. As part of the course, the participants are guided to develop a prototype HRMIS accessible through a local area network and the internet/intranet.
