About the Speaker:
Professor Cees van Western, a distinguished scholar at the University of Twente from Netherlands, is well known in the field of natural hazard risk management with over 30 years of experience. He has a keen interest in the application of geoinformation technologies such as Remote Sensing and GIS in the field of natural hazard risk management. Prof. van Westend has authored over 200 publications that have significantly contributed to the advancement of natural hazard risk assessment and management. He is a renowned speaker and has delivered numerous keynote addresses and lectures at international events on topics related to natural hazard risk Identification, assessment and management. Prof. van Westen is the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal "Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences" and has received several prestigious awards for his contributions to the field of natural hazard risk management.
