Bio
Yuki Yoshida is a researcher at the Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Research Section at the Center for Climate Change Adaptation in the National Institute for Environmental Studies, Japan. Her research focuses on the human dimensions of human-nature relationships, such as place attachment and linkages between people's values, social contexts and behaviors. She currently serves as lead author in the Transformative Change Assessment of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) and is a member of the AP-PLAT development team.
AP-PLAT
AP-PLAT, or the Asia-Pacific Climate Change Adaptation Information Platform, is a website set up by the Center for Climate Change Adaptation at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES) in Japan according to the nation's Climate Change Adaptation Act of 2018. AP-PLAT's mission is to support science-based decision making and effective adaptation to climate change in the Asia-Pacific region. Three pillars of work towards this end are 1) generation of scientific information and knowledge, 2) development of tools that increase accessibility of scientific knowledge, and 3) capacity development for adaptation policy and project development.
