Public Sector Capacity Building Unit, AIT Extension has successfully hosted a one-week international training program on “Agro Based Industry, Technology Transfer and Extension Techniques” (25- 29 June, 2012). Twenty senior government officials comprising Directors, Agricultural Extension Officers and Rural Development Project Officers from Ministry of Agriculture, Sri Lanka attended the program in Bangkok, Thailand.
The course was designed to introduce participants to the sphere of agro-based industry, technology transfer and extension techniques that are being practiced in Thailand and to give them a first-hand experience of overseas industry and expose them to the challenges and opportunities in Agro Based Industry. IFAD, Sri Lanka supported the program.
