This one week Customized Professional Development Course is prepared for seven officers from the Ministry of Health, Government of Sri Lanka from 12 – 16 August 2019.
The main objective of this professional development training course is to enhance the understanding, skills, and capacity of the participants about the importance of quality in healthcare and study how healthcare quality and patient safety program is being implemented in Thailand. The training program will help to achieve implementation of improvement in quality and safety in Healthcare services in Sri Lanka. The professional development course is going to be on healthcare implementation and management in focus on quality and patient safety services. Some of the key issues to be addressed during the training program are:

- Tools and Strategic for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety
- Implementing Quality Healthcare & Improving Safety
- The technical and on-site study visits to hospitals, health centers and healthcare service institutions with effective implementation and successful specific in healthcare quality and safety project in Thailand
