Course Brief: The course aims to enhance participants’ competencies in planning and developing pro-poor growth strategies. The course content covers concepts of poverty reduction, growth and equity, pro-poor growth principles, strategic & competitive analyses, strategy map, macro-economic determinants of pro-poor growth, pro-poor development policies, employment and trade, alignment of public expenditure and sector institutions. It also includes case studies, best practices and comparative exposure visits to pro-poor growth development schemes in Thailand and Vietnam.
