Canadian, 35 years veteran of a hybrid business commercial/development career within the finance, publishing, and digital technology in Canada, Europe and Asia both as a corporate executive, dotcom entrepreneur and social business innovator.  After two successful Internet start-up exits, David joined the United Nations in Geneva in 2010.  David came with the United Nations to Thailand in 2014 where he founded the Social Innovation, Entrepreneurship and most recently, the UNDP Impact Investment program (UNSIF) which brings together venture philanthropists, family trusts, foundations, governments and private sector growth investors creating a 'blended financing' investment platform.  David has left the UN in July 2019 as is currently the Managing and Founding Partner of SDGx Singapore, a research, corporate venture and investment firm focusing on next generation technologies such as AI, IoT/5G, Robotics and Material Sciences. David is also the Director of the Yunus Center Near Future Lab at AIT and an invited Faculty member of the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC)
