The Banking and Finance center caters to two broad categories of needs for human resource development in the industry:
- The need for a formal degree in banking and finance through an in-depth study in the areas of economics, finance, banking and management.
- The need for professional development courses, typically of one or two weeks in duration, on selected areas of relevance to the banking and finance industry. Both customized and open courses are offered.
The center draws on expertise from academia and business across the region to deliver practically relevant programme and courses using innovative teaching methodologies. The center regularly attracts senior managers from the industry to deliver talks on special topics.
Participants in the center’s programmes have come from central banks, large commercial banks, non banking financial institutions and non-governmental organizations engaged in finance related activities such as microfinance.
