AIT extension is conducting a 10-day oversea training program which aims to provide opportunities for government officials of various government organizations in Bangladesh to study and learn relevant examples of government reform initiatives in Thailand. This training is contracted by the Ministry of Public Administration, Government of Bangladesh.
This program will enable participants to:
- gain an understanding of the Thai government policies and strategies with the respect to new approach of public administration and management;
- acquire relevant knowledge on capacity development systems for civil servants imitated by Thai government
- observe actual public management administration reform practices and project related activities;
- discuss and exchange information and experiences with counterparts in Thailand
- apply principles and practices gained from the learning exposure to participants’ working situation
PROGRAM CONTENT
Training activities are divided into input session, and study visit programs. The contents for input session reviews important theories and concepts of modern public management, responsive governance, structure and strategy of new approach sector management.
The second part, study visits to various development agencies of the Thai Government. This part provides opportunity for participants to relate theories and concepts discussed in class sessions and with actual management practices. The delegated will have excellent opportunities to visit offices at ministerial, department and provincial levels in order to gain and exchange experience and knowledge with field experts provide exposure for problem-solving and managerial skill in public sector management and citizen-centered public service delivery projects.
