AIT Extension in conjunction with EBARA Hatakeyama Memorial Fund and EBARA (Thailand) Ltd. is hosting a Course on “ Pump Technology for Flood Control ” to be held on 28 August – 3 September 2014 at Ambassador Hotel, Sukhumwit 11, Bangkok, Thailand.
This training course aims to enrich capabilities and skills of participants in practical engineering fields through making review on pump technology for flood control, study essentials and applications of turbo type pump including operation, control method and its maintenance. Field trip to the draining pump station and related case studies will be instructed.
Applicants should have at least B.S. degree in Mechanical, Industrial, and Electrical, or other related fields to pump engineering, and should be between 28-55 years of age. Detailed training objectives and targeted participants are given in the attached flyer.
A limited number of fellowships which cover tuition fees and accommodation at AIT will be offered to qualified applicants from “Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam”. International/Domestic travel to and from Bangkok and per diem shall be borne by each applicant.
Selection will be based on academic background, current job responsibilities and experience. Since the instruction will be in English, proven competency in English is required. Application forms with supporting documents must be received by AIT Extension not later than 10 August 2014.
