Professional development training course on Analysis and Design of Overhead Transmission Lines (PLS-CADD, AC69-765 KV) Up-rating

This customized training course on “Analysis and Design of Overhead Transmission Lines (PLS-CADD, AC69-765 KV) Up-rating” aims to have an understanding on power dispersal through overhead power lines and have a clear understanding on the operation and use of a widely used software on transmission line design and optimization: PLS-CADD. This course is specially designed for the engineers in electricity transmission sector and will help them to analyze & design of overhead transmission lines by using PLS-CADD software.

Objective:

The content of this training has been designed for the participants to have an understanding on power dispersal through overhead power lines and have a clear understanding on the operation and use of a widely used software on transmission line design and optimization: PLS-CADD.

The course outline:

  • Introduction to the Transmission Line Components and Design Parameters
  • Start a Transmission Line Project in PLS-CADD
  • Design Inputs of Tower, Conductor and Line Hardware
  • Spotting of Structures Interactively on Pi Points and Through Alignment / Stringing Of Conductor and OPGW
  • Generation of different Reports for final submission
    • Design and Planning of Transmission Lines
    • Reactive Power Management in Transmission Systems
    • Restructuring of Power Systems
    • Transmission Asset Utilizations in Smart Grid
    • Practice
    • Study Visit

The training course will be held during 29 October 2018 to 9 November 2018 (excluding travel time)
