Course Introduction
About the Session
The insurance industry is entering a new era where climate risk and extreme weather events demand innovative protection mechanisms. Parametric insurance, particularly Weather Index Insurance (WII), is emerging as a transformative solution that combines efficiency, transparency, and scalability. This model reduces costs, speeds up settlements, and enhances transparency — making it a promising solution for climate-resilient insurance.
This executive webinar will introduce insurance professionals to the fundamentals of parametric insurance product designing and pricing. The session will highlight how data-driven triggers work, what factors influence pricing models, and where opportunities lie for insurers to diversify their portfolios in agriculture, energy, logistics, and beyond.
The webinar will also serve as a gateway to our upcoming in-depth training program on Parametric Insurance, which will offer a practical, hands-on learning journey — equipping executives, actuaries, and product developers with the technical skills to design, price, and implement parametric insurance products effectively.
Join us for this session to explore how parametric insurance can help you not only manage climate risks but also unlock new market opportunities. Take the first step towards becoming a leader in climate-resilient insurance innovation.
