Marketing and Value Chain Management in AgricultureAIT Extension is organizing a two weeks training program on “Marketing and Value Chain Management in Agriculture” from 29 March to 10 April 2010 for senior level managers of the Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF), Bangladesh. As an apex microcredit funding and capacity building organisation PKSF, in English means “Rural Employment Support Foundation”, was established by the Government of Bangladesh in May 1990. For the last two decades PKSF has been working for eradicating poverty by providing microcredit to the poor through its Partner Organisations (POs) and in strengthening the institutional infrastructure of those POs so that they can improve their present operations.

This training program will emphasize on learning various elements of agriculture marketing, marketing plan and value chain management model with a special focus on how to add value to the raw materials at various processes. It is anticipated that at the end of this course participants will get a firsthand knowledge on value chain management in agriculture covering full and seamless interaction among all the aspects of agricultural marketing and its connection to the raw materials, processing steps and consumers.
