Over the past one week, AIT Extension has been leading a delegation of officials from Indonesian Agency for Agriculture Research and Development, on a capacity building program on Agriculture Extension Practices (23 April – 05 May, 2012). Supported by Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Research and Development, the 15-member delegation comprises representatives from various Provincial Assessment Institute for Agricultural Technology, Indonesia.
The aim of the program is to strengthen participants’ knowledge and technical expertise on the extension in agriculture through exposures to relevant practical examples in Thailand. In the past decades, Thailand has developed its agricultural sector significantly and it is now an excellent hub for learning within the South East Asian region. The Thai government along with leading universities has brought instrumental innovations towards the improvement of crop production, farmers livelihood and sustainable agriculture as a whole.
