This is one week Customized Professional Development Training Course on Contract Management of Hydro Power Projects is prepared for 10 Middle/Senior level officials from Nepal Electricity Authority, Nepal.
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is tasked with generating, transmitting, and distributing adequate, reliable, and affordable power by planning, constructing, operating, and maintaining all generation, transmission, and distribution facilities in Nepal’s power system, both interconnected and isolated. NEA was formed in August 1985, under the Nepal Electricity Authority Act of 1984, as a vertically-integrated government-owned utility responsible for generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity in Nepal.
This training course on Contract Management of Hydro Power Projects combines the theory and practice of contract administration and contract management. This training will help participants ensure improved project delivery performance by developing knowledge in procurement, contract law and contract management. The training program will provide an in-depth understanding of the following key topics:
- Contract management cycle - Identify contract components and understand the process
- Tender process: Preparation, negotiation and tender awards for hydropower Projects
- Managing contract performance and relationships, monitoring of contracts
- Challenges of effective management and contract resolution processes.
- Contract execution, renewal and termination focusing on Hydropower Projects.
This program to be conducted from 19 – 23 June 2017 at Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok
