Professional Development Technical Training Course on: Innovative Irrigation Management (Thailand & Malaysia), 30 October – 10 November 2017

This two weeks Customized Professional Development Technical Training Course is prepared for 12 Officials of Irrigation Management Improvement Project (IMIP), Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB), Ministry of Water Resource (MoWR), Bangladesh.The main objective of this professional development training course is to enhance the understanding, skills and capacity of the officials from People's Republic of Bangladesh on Improved, Modern and Effective Irrigation management, stakeholders’ participation and institutional development.

Some of the key issues to be addressed during the training program are:

  • Integrated Approached in Irrigation System Management and Participatory Irrigation Management
  • Integrated Water Resource Management and Modernization of Irrigation System
  • Improving Irrigation Management Performance
  • Public Private partnership (PPP) Approaches in Irrigation Management
  • Irrigation System Planning Development and Management
  • Climate Change Impacts on Hydrology, Water Resources and Water Use Sectors
  • Innovative Management and Development in Irrigation Sectors
