Thaniya Jirasathitpornpong is an accomplished Program Specialist at AIT Extension, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, with more than two decades of professional experience in international training development, capacity building, and executive education. She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Kasetsart University and a Bachelor of Arts from Silpakorn University. Throughout her career, Thaniya has played a pivotal role in designing and implementing results-based training programs tailored to the needs of public and private sector professionals across Asia. Her areas of specialization include participatory planning, leadership development, strategic human resource management, financial sector reform, anti-corruption policy, and instructional design—delivered through both face-to-face and online modalities.
She is a Certified Co-facilitator in Results-Focused Project Design and Management (conducted by the Asian Development Bank) Asian Development Bank/ Bali, Indonesia and Certified Co-facilitator in Results-Focused Project Design and Management (conducted by the Asian Development Bank) Asian Development Bank/ Luang Prabang, Lao PDR.
Thaniya is also a respected trainer and educator. She regularly teaches soft skills such as office management, business communication, professional etiquette, and presentation techniques, as well as hard skills including digital literacy, multimedia tools, and computer-based applications for professional use. She is known for creating engaging, learner-centered environments that blend practical tools with interactive methodologies—enhancing the confidence and performance of participants from diverse sectors and countries.
Her regional engagement spans Bangladesh, Bhutan, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Vietnam, Nepal, Indonesia, and beyond. Notably, she served as program designer and coordinator for the Experiential Learning Program with the International Maritime Business Department at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, USA, further extending her global impact. She has led numerous high-level professional development initiatives in collaboration with government ministries, development agencies, and technical institutions. Thaniya’s expertise includes curriculum development, field visit design, stakeholder engagement, and post-training evaluation. Known for her meticulous attention to detail, cultural sensitivity, and passion for education, she continues to deliver meaningful learning experiences that promote individual and institutional transformation.
